Biography

Born in 1952 in Gummersbach, Oberbergischer Kreis, Germany. High school, afterwards education of graphic arts under her grandfather and father, both professional painters. Own galleries in Kaarst near Düsseldorf (1978 - 1980) and in Mönchengladbach (1980 - 1982). National and international art shows and collaborations on- and offline. Together with Dr. Rodney Chang (Pygoya), Honolulu/HI/USA founder of "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" after their "1st Real Life European Art Tour" in 2003 which led from Frankfurt via Sonthofen to Vienna and Budapest. Since then organizer, coordinator and curator of "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" with more than 60 international artists from around the globe as per October 2008. Also hosting and designing the Webism group's website.

As artist in 3rd generation Ingrid grew up with art. It's like breathing to her. She did oils, pastels, acryls, etc. - all that traditional stuff; but when she discovered the computer in 1999 as art tool she became a "freak" and couldn't stop working with this amazing tool. Today she loves to work "Mixed Media" and enjoys her collaboration with the worldwide artists of the "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists". This group has artists from all fields of art. It is a wonderful community working together not only for art but also for peace and understanding worldwide.

Some comments on Ingrid:

Director of "Truly Virtual Web Art Museum" and PYGOYA GALLERY, Honolulu, HI, USADr. Rodney Chang (Pygoya) about Ingrid Kamerbeek in April 2002:
"Born in 1952 in Gummersbach, Germany. Currently lives in the romantic area of Bavaria. The beautiful landscape not only attracts many foreign tourists worldwide but also provides inspiration for Kamerbeek's art.
After high school the artist embarked on a very special education in graphic arts through tutelage and apprenticeship with her grandfather and father, two previous family generations of professional painters.
Kamerbeek owned galleries in Kaarst near Düsseldorf (1978 - 1980) and in Mönchengladbach (1980 - 1982) before creating her own web site which assists other cyberartists to gain exposure for their work. A true inspirational leader and motivator for the cyberarts.
Much art exhibiting, on earth and in cyberspace. One of her works, "Global Consciousness", was inducted recently into the online Cyberculture Art Museum.
The artist finds time to maintain the position of Co-coordinator for East Hawaii Cultural Center's International Cyberart World Tour and Coordinator of CenterofCyberspace.com".

in January 2007:

"Ingrid's virtual canvases, ablaze with passion materialized via pixels splashed like paint, has always piqued my appreciation and respect. The outpouring of emotional imagery endlessly flows from her creative spirit residing deep within. Yet she finds the time to dedicate to Webism in order that all artists who share art online, have a support group that also commits to that common calling. Enjoy this series of works, fresh from her psyche at the start of 2007. And note, indeed, her profound observation that "all of nature is sexy" is indeed true. - Dr. Rodney Chang"

Professor Dr. Herbert W. Franke

in January 2005:

Herbert W. Franke"

on June 4th, 2008:
"Liebe Frau Kamerbeek,

Herbert W. Franke

Mark Gebhardt, Publisher/Webmaster, iD Arts Magazines, Jacksonville, Florida, USA:
"Ingrid approached me, I believe in 2005, about iD Arts Magazine and asked me to join her Webism Group of Worldwide Artists. I created the Webism Gallery that became highly successful (and has artists in line . . . w-a-i-t-i--n---g) and earned the Webism Doer Award. She is a friend, a boss, a fellow artist, and a true professional that is highly organized. She is recommended by me to accomplish anything dealing with the arts or event planning as well as everyday business practice. Ingrid is a very smart businessperson and has a great personality to boot." October 31, 2007
